At ʻŌuli Farms, our commitment to land stewardship extends beyond sustainable practices. We honor the deep connection between ʻāina and its caretakers, preserving cultural resources, supporting the community, and giving back to the environment. Through our stewardship projects, we aim to foster a deeper sense of responsibility and care for the land, ensuring its vitality for future generations.

Community Trail

ʻŌuli Farms is dedicated to preserving and honoring the stream trails that run through our lands. These trails hold cultural significance, and we work to ensure that they remain protected for future generations. In collaboration with community groups we are committed to maintaining these pathways as living connections to our past, while providing access to the beauty of the land today.

Crop Distribution

We believe in sharing the abundance of the land with the community. We have partnered with various organizations to donate fresh, USDA-certified organic produce to kūpuna and those in need. Additionally, we collaborate with the Hawaii Ulu Cooperative to contribute to their efforts in providing healthier school lunches for students across the state. By sharing the fruits of our labor, we ensure that the land continues to nourish the community it supports.

Green Waste Management

ʻŌuli Farms plays an active role in reducing waste and enhancing the land’s natural fertility. We collect green waste from several businesses and convert it into nutrient-rich mulch. This process not only diverts waste from the West Hawaii landfill but also enriches the soil, promoting healthier crop growth. Our mulching efforts help retain moisture in the soil, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to environmental sustainability by recycling nutrients back into the earth, helping to mitigate the impact of droughts and other climate challenges.

Together, these stewardship initiatives reflect our deep commitment to caring for the land, nurturing both its cultural legacy and its potential for future generations,
