Like many great ideas, this one began with a walk. While hiking above Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island, we were surrounded by winter’s verdant hillside, a seamless expanse of blue ocean and sky, and flowing streams.

We stood on land where people once transported resources between mauka and makai. Now, this final stretch of Mauna Kea Resort is entrusted to us to envision its future.

Looking across this quiet land, still so wildly beautiful, we talked about how to do right by it.

As we gazed over this stunning landscape, we contemplated how to honor its essence. We committed to preserving its natural beauty, allowing nature to guide us. Homes will be thoughtfully integrated into the landscape, ensuring open spaces that foster a sense of connection with the ocean, sky, land, and streams. Our vision is to celebrate the land’s heritage while offering a fresh perspective on island living.

We invite those who seek a unique sense of community, enjoy sunsets and farm-to-table experiences, and are passionate about food sustainability and Hawai‘i’s future.

A LETTER FROM OUR FOUNDERS
